MANILA, Philippines – The camp of United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) standard-bearer Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay on Sunday clarified that the candidate is not pressured with allegations of the Office of the Ombudsman.

Quicho was reacting to the Ombudsman’s claim that Binay asked the Commission on Audit to delay the release of the report on allegedly overpriced Makati City Hall parking building project.

Quicho said the Ombudsman’s allegation is a diversionary move against Binay. He clarified that UNA’s president and Navotas Rep. Tobias “Toby” Tiangco reminded the COA in a letter about a ruling not conduct a special audit on politicians running for office

Quicho explained that the letter was not only made to defend Binay but for other UNA candidates, whom he claimed have been experiencing threats and oppression from political rivals.
